China continues to adopt the "dynamic clearing" policy of COVID-19 (serious special infectious pneumonia, new coronary pneumonia, Wuhan pneumonia) epidemic prevention and control, and small-scale outbreaks have occurred in eastern provinces. Two counties in Anhui province went into lockdown. China reported 380 new positive cases of COVID-19 on Sunday (July 3), the third consecutive day of triple-digit increases after 385 the day before, official data showed.
Most of these were in Anhui province, where there were 29 new local infections on Sunday, and 258 asymptomatic infections (China separates symptomatic and asymptomatic cases). In Anhui Province, the cities with the most new industry email list positive cases were Si County and Lingbi County in Suzhou City, which recorded 256 and 30 cases respectively on Sunday, and went into lockdown over the past weekend.
Sixian County conducted the sixth round of nationwide nucleic acid testing on Sunday. According to Chinese state media, the city of Wuxi in Jiangsu province, the manufacturing hub of the Yangtze River Delta, began asking malls and banks to shorten their business hours from the weekend, and that restaurants would no longer offer dine-in meals, while urging all residents to "not leave Wuxi unless necessary."
